Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has cautioned the public against engaging in electoral misconduct during the upcoming December elections, warning that offenders will face the law.
Speaking at the inauguration of a police station in Akyem-Manso, Eastern Region, Dr. Dampare reassured Ghanaians of the police's readiness to ensure a peaceful election. He emphasized proactive measures to address potential disturbances, urging citizens to respect the electoral process.
“Don’t cause trouble during the elections. Those who incite you will abandon you when arrested,” he cautioned.
Dr. Dampare encouraged voters to exercise their rights responsibly, vowing to uphold law and order for free and fair elections.
“We are fully prepared to ensure a peaceful electoral process,” he affirmed.
