Franklin Cudjoe challenges Bawumia’s claim of Mahama as “worst President”

Imani Africa’s President, Franklin Cudjoe, has questioned Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s assertion that former President John Mahama is Ghana’s "worst president" of the Fourth Republic.

Cudjoe compared key economic markers, highlighting that during Mahama's term, the exchange rate was $1 to GHS 4 and a bag of cement cost around GHS 24.

He contrasted this with today's $1 to GHS 17.4 rate and a cement cost above GHS 100, alongside national debt rising from GHS 120 billion in 2016 to GHS 763 billion.

Cudjoe criticized the New Patriotic Party’s debt exchange program, which led to significant losses for Ghanaians, especially pensioners, arguing that these economic challenges paint a complex picture of Bawumia’s critique.
