Kasoa ritual killing: Kpebu advocates increased parental control to curb juvenile delinquency

Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has urged parents to take a more active role in supervising their children to address rising juvenile delinquency.

His appeal follows the conviction of two young men in the Kasoa ritual killing case, where a 10-year-old boy was murdered.

Kpebu emphasized that many juvenile offenses stem from a lack of parental guidance, leaving children vulnerable to negative influences.

He acknowledged the challenges parents face due to work pressures but stressed that poverty should not be seen as the sole cause of juvenile crime. Instead, he advocates for increased attention and involvement from parents.
