Nicholas Kini, the 18-year-old convicted for the 2021 ritual murder of 10-year-old Ishmael Mensah Abdellah in Kasoa, was sentenced to life imprisonment on October 24, 2024.
A video from GHOne TV showed Kini visibly upset after the sentencing, declaring he would "be back" and expressing frustration, saying, “There is no truth in Ghana.” A prison officer urged him to remain patient, suggesting hope for the future.
The High Court also convicted Kini’s 15-year-old accomplice, who was referred to juvenile court for sentencing due to his age.
