Prof. Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua, a law lecturer at the University of Ghana, has criticised Attorney General Godfred Dame for unprofessional conduct following a leaked phone conversation.
The conversation, released by the opposition NDC, revealed Dame attempting to coerce Richard Jakpa, an accused in an ambulance procurement case, to implicate Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson. Dr. Ato Forson faces trial for allegedly procuring faulty ambulances.
Prof. Appiagyei-Atua called Dame's actions embarrassing and a violation of professional ethics, amounting to perjury. He emphasised that Dame's intervention was inappropriate and questioned his motives, highlighting the potential criminal law violations involved.
