NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of engaging in vote-buying with stolen public funds.
Speaking during a campaign, Mahama revealed that residents of Bodi claimed the NPP distributed items like salt, Maggi cubes, buckets, and even bentoa (enema kits) to influence voters.
He urged Ghanaians to accept the items since it is their own money being used but cautioned them against selling their conscience.
“They take stolen funds and use a small portion to buy votes. Don’t fall for it. After elections, you won’t see them again,” Mahama said, encouraging voters to reject vote-buying tactics and prioritize the nation’s future.
