NPP condemns “unwarranted and despicable” attacks on Kufuor

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has strongly criticized recent comments by Dela Edem, an aide to NDC flagbearer John Mahama, targeting former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

In a statement issued on November 16, NPP National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) condemned Edem's remarks as "despicable, shameful, and disgraceful."

Speaking on TV XYZ, Edem allegedly claimed that Kufuor’s health issues were a result of being "cursed."

The NPP expressed disappointment in Mahama's silence on the matter, calling on him to condemn the remarks, issue an apology to Kufuor, and take disciplinary action against his aide.

The party emphasized the need for mutual respect in political discourse, especially towards revered statesmen.
