Pollster Mussa Dankwa has suggested that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is unlikely to achieve its ambitious 85% vote target in the Ashanti Region for the 2024 elections.
In a brief post on Facebook, he revealed that a recent poll shows the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate is nearing 30% in the NPP’s stronghold.
The NPP has intensified its campaign efforts in the region, historically a key source of support, to maintain its dominance.
However, Dankwa's analysis hints at a tightening race, challenging the ruling party's electoral expectations.
