Richard Jakpa, the third defendant in the ongoing ambulance procurement trial, has reassured the court that the procurement processes and specifications for the ambulances were sanctioned by both the Cabinet and Parliament.
This response came after Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame raised questions about the procurement's integrity and transparency.
Jakpa emphasized that the approval process underwent thorough scrutiny, including cost assessments and technical reviews, ensuring adherence to standards.
He provided detailed documentation, including minutes and reports, to substantiate his claims of transparency and compliance with national laws and international best practices, countering allegations of irregularities and financial loss to the state.
