SML/GRA contract: Akufo-Addo withholding KPMG report was needles – Manasseh

Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has criticised President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for withholding the KPMG report on the SML and GRA contract, deeming it unnecessary.

Azure cited past instances, like the GYEEDA scandal during President Mahama's tenure, where despite the absence of an RTI law, the report was made public.

He emphasised the lack of justification for withholding the current report, given past precedents.

Azure questioned how releasing the report could impede anything, highlighting President Mahama's transparency in similar circumstances.

The remarks were made during an interview on Eyewitness News, urging transparency in handling such matters.
