Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, has criticized Elizabeth Ohene’s op-ed defending the sale of 60% shares in four SSNIT hotels to Rock City.
Ohene, SSNIT Board Chair, claimed the selection process was transparent and compliant, and she would accept prosecution if corruption was found.
Ablakwa contended her article reflected personal views, not the board's consensus.
He highlighted that organized Labour and some board members opposed the transaction and called for a halt, suggesting Ohene's op-ed failed to address these concerns and fundamental issues, thus not representing the entire board's stance.
