The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) has raised concerns about vote buying in the Ashanti, Savannah, and Western regions ahead of the December 7, 2024, elections.
In its second report, released on November 19, 2024, CODEO highlighted that political figures are attempting to influence voters by distributing money and valuables.
The report, covering October 26 to November 8, 2024, found that 10% of observer reports indicated such practices.
CODEO also noted the misuse of public resources by incumbents for campaigning, urging law enforcement to act against these illegal activities to ensure a fair election process.
