Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, government spokesperson for Governance and Security, has defended SSNIT's decision to divest its 60% interest in four hotels to Rock City Hotel, citing the hotels' consistent unprofitability over the past 14 years.

He commended SSNIT for the move, stating it's aimed at optimizing returns and financial sustainability.

Boakye-Danquah dismissed claims of state capture, calling them unfounded.

Meanwhile, Bryan Acheampong, owner of Rock City Hotel and Minister of Agriculture, faces criticism, with MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa leading protesters against the sale.

Boakye-Danquah criticized Ablakwa for allegedly misleading the public and setting citizens against the government's developmental efforts.
