Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has appealed to Ghanaians to maintain peace and accept the results of the 2024 general elections.

Speaking to journalists on Sunday, November 17, Kufuor stressed the importance of unity and calmness during the voting process.

He urged citizens to exercise their voting rights responsibly, rejecting any form of electoral violence.

“Genuine power resides with the people. It’s essential to accept the results, regardless of personal preferences, and prioritize peace,” Kufuor said.

The December 7 polls will feature a major contest between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP and John Dramani Mahama of the NDC.

Kufuor expressed hope for a smooth and democratic electoral process.
