Bernard Allotey Jacobs has cautioned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, against assuming that Donald Trump’s recent U.S. election win signals an automatic victory for them in Ghana's upcoming election.
Some NDC supporters have linked Trump’s success to Ghana's race, but Jacobs, a former NDC Central Regional Chairman, dismissed this notion, saying, “If Trump has won in America, it doesn’t mean it can happen in Ghana.”
Speaking on Peace FM, he predicted that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would surprise the NDC and become Ghana’s next president.
