The Supreme Court will rule on July 17, 2024, regarding two lawsuits filed by journalist Richard Dela Sky and researcher Dr. Amanda Odoi against Parliament's passage of the anti-gay bill.

Dr. Odoi seeks to prevent the bill's transmission to President Akufo-Addo, arguing it imposes a charge on public funds without a fiscal impact analysis, violating Article 108.

Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo stated the cases would not be consolidated. The Attorney-General and Parliament's counsel have both called for the dismissal of Dr. Odoi's application.
