NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia has directed the party's MPs to boycott any emergency recall of Parliament, emphasizing the importance of protecting Ghana’s democracy.
Speaking in Ellembelle, he stressed that Parliament is the backbone of democracy, warning that its weakening could lead to authoritarianism.
He urged Ghanaians to support Parliament as it prevents power from being concentrated in one person’s hands.
Nketia reassured that government business would not collapse if Parliament doesn't convene, encouraging NDC MPs to stay firm.
He also rallied supporters to vote for NDC leadership in upcoming polls, emphasizing that a stronger NDC presence in Parliament would bolster democratic governance.
