Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has urged Ghanaians to exercise caution and respect when discussing the country’s Supreme Court, following its controversial ruling on Speaker Alban Bagbin’s decision to vacate four parliamentary seats.
Speaking on Sunday, November 17, Kufuor stressed the importance of upholding the integrity of democratic institutions and respecting judicial decisions.
He emphasized that while checks and balances are vital, the Supreme Court's interpretative authority, as outlined in the Constitution, must be respected.
Kufuor called for constructive discourse to strengthen Ghana’s democracy.
