Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has slammed the Supreme Court's ruling on the vacant seats controversy, asserting that decisions like these often favour the ruling government due to politically motivated judicial appointments.
Kpebu claims that both the NPP and NDC appoint judges who share their ideological views, leading to biased outcomes.
The case, which saw the court stay the Speaker’s ruling on vacant seats, has sparked controversy, especially after a similar matter in 2021 was dismissed due to jurisdiction concerns.
Kpebu called for reforms in the judicial appointment process to prevent such political interference.
