Tamale Central MP Murtala Mohammed says his constituents oppose a return to Parliament if recalled, supporting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) boycott.
Speaking during a campaign tour, Mohammed echoed NDC Chairman Asiedu Nketia’s directive for MPs to stay away, following a Supreme Court ruling on vacant seats.
The case, which sparked tension between Speaker Alban Bagbin and Majority Leader Afenyo-Markin, ruled against Bagbin’s decision to declare seats vacant after MPs declared independent bids.
Mohammed affirmed that his stance aligns with both his party and the majority of his constituents.
