Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin has firmly stated he will not relinquish his majority seat to Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
His comments followed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs' decision to boycott Parliament on November 7, leading Speaker Alban Bagbin to suspend the House indefinitely.
The boycott came as the Minority occupied the Majority's seats for the second time, prompting Afenyo-Markin to emphasize the symbolic importance of seating positions in Parliament.
He called on the Speaker to ensure the Minority returns to their designated seats, accusing him of enabling a "conspiracy."
