Deputy Majority Chief Whip Habib Iddrisu has asserted that New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs will occupy the majority side of Parliament when it reconvenes today, November 7, following the Supreme Court’s stay on Speaker Alban Bagbin's ruling that declared four seats vacant.
The NPP maintains its majority position, he said, despite the National Democratic Congress (NDC) also claiming the majority side based on Bagbin’s earlier declaration.
NDC MP Kwame Governs Agbodza stated that his caucus would adhere to the Speaker’s initial ruling but emphasized their willingness to collaborate if the NPP prioritizes issues in the national interest.
