The Majority caucus in Parliament has refused the NDC's demand for an apology from NPP caucus leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin over remarks on Speaker Alban Bagbin's role in Parliament's adjournment.
Deputy Majority Leader Patricia Appiagyei defended the NPP’s stance, stating no wrongdoing warranted an apology.
Appiagyei, speaking at St. Monica’s SHS event, called on Speaker Bagbin to clarify if his comments were personal opinions rather than official rulings, urging transparency on the matter.
She emphasized that parliamentary procedures were followed, questioning why the NDC demanded an apology.
