Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has addressed issues of leadership, mortality, and civic responsibility, stressing that he fears neither death nor the weight of accountability.
Reflecting on life’s final moments, Bagbin remarked that everyone faces their own mortality alone. He called on Ghanaians to be active citizens, saying, “Ghanaians are now spectators rather than citizens.”
Bagbin also emphasized he has no ambition to cling to power, affirming his commitment to responsible leadership.
His comments arose amidst discussions on vacant parliamentary seats, urging a collective focus on accountability and progress.
