The Supreme Court of Ghana has granted the Attorney General a seven-day extension to submit a statement in the case challenging the Ghanaian Family Values Bill.
Journalist and lawyer Richard Dela Sky filed the suit against the Speaker of Parliament, questioning the bill’s constitutionality, particularly regarding its impact on individual rights and marginalized groups.
During proceedings, the State Attorney requested a Financial Impact Analysis from the Speaker’s legal team, arguing that understanding the bill's financial implications is critical.
Sky also seeks a court order to prevent the President from signing the bill, citing concerns over constitutional rights violations.
